If you really want to target the muscles and recover muscle memory, practicing walking is very essential.
- Start walking using a platform walker and have someone with you just in case.
- To increase the difficulty, add ankle weights. If you are comfortable, walk by yourself around the block, going further each time.
- If the platform walker is no longer challenging, move into a normal walker which is weighed down for more control.
- Remove the weights from the walker and practice with someone there just in case.
